First Impressions Matter!
It is a joy, in my line of work, to meet and photograph wonderfully experienced folks leaving full-time employment to start their own businesses. Entrepreneurs rock!! I love to listen to their journey, hear their hopes and plans, and ask them about what they want people to see in their headshots. Marissa Weiss, founder of The Teamwork Shop, spent over 20 years embedding team-building into her work as a climate science researcher and science communicator. For her photos, she wanted warmth and professionalism. I think she was happy because she wrote to say “I was surprised that I truly saw myself in them. I hadn’t realized it was possible to look and feel this natural in professional headshots.” That’s what we like to hear!
